Why Do I Need A Detail?
Having your vehicle detailed, especially on a regular basis is one of the best ways to keep a clean vehicle free of odors and trash, as well as keeping the value of your vehicle much higher than unmaintained vehicles. Plus who doesn't love driving in a brand new clean car? It's the best, and we can keep you feeling that way every time you step into your car! You may be wondering; why would I get a detail when I can go to an automatic car wash for a significantly cheaper price? While yes going to an automatic wash in the far cheaper option if you want to keep your vehicle clean, both the level of cleaning and safety of the wash are things to consider. Going through the car wash may take only a few minutes to do, and at the end your car has been brushed, rinsed, and dried. Your car will come out cleaner but, no where near the level of perfection a detailer can deliver. The second main thing to consider with most car washes is the brushes and equipment used can damage your paint significantly over time. Safe wash techniques are something we take great pride in only providing to keep your paint shining and scratch and swirl mark free, something most car washes cannot guarantee. The level of perfection with a detail is something I take pride in, and something big car washes won't guarantee is your satisfaction.
What is a Ceramic Coating?
A Ceramic Coating a Semi-Permanent form of paint protection. You've probably heard of a wax as paint protection, A wax is a naturally derived form of UV protection applied to the paint work of a car that adds a natural glow of shine and will protect from the harmful UV rays from the sun. These waxes tend to only last anywhere from a few weeks to a few months maximum. A Ceramic Coating is like a wax in that when it is applied it protects from the UV Rays of the sun and adds a beautiful shine to the paint, but not only does it protect from the sun, it has what are called self cleaning properties. Does this mean you never need to wash your car again? Unfortunately no, it is not magic. The term self cleaning properties refer to the way the surface of the coating reacts to contaminates like water, dust, dirt, bird droppings, and traffic film. The slick surface and chemical make up rejects the contamination of the paint much better than a wax or even a naked paint finish. This is easily seen when water is sprayed onto a coated vehicle, the coating rejects the water and you'll see it slide right off the paint, also known as water sheading, and/or you'll see the water collect into tiny water beads also known as water beading. These self cleaning properties make it much easier to clean the paint when it does come time for a wash due to the fewer amount of potential contaminates on the paint and the slick nature the coating gives. A Ceramic Coating also lasts much longer than a typical wax. We offer 3 different types of Ceramic Coatings. The first in our Silver Detail Package is a Spray Ceramic Coating. This coating is a cheaper alternative with a slightly shorter life span. All of the protection benefits of the coating are the same but the protection duration is shorter due to the lower concentration of product in the spray. The Second type we offer is the standard Ceramic Coating. This Coating lasts a lot longer than the Spray Coating but the protection is still the same. The third and final type of coating is the Graphene Ceramic Coating, this is currently the strongest coating we offer. The water beading and sheading are much stronger with this coating and it lasts even longer than the regular coating. From the Graphene Ceramic Coating we offer you'll get 7+ years of protection making this the ultimate way to protect you paint and protect your investment by keeping your car looking brand new for years to come. No matter which of the 3 types of Ceramic Coatings you choose for your vehicle, they do all need to be maintained in order to get the advertised protection. Maintenance is easily done and is part of a normal wash routine we offer for coated vehicles in our Deluxe Maintenance Detail. If you wish to maintain your ceramic coating yourself, the proper tools and chemicals are necessary, and we can show you exactly how to care for your new Ceramic Coating.
